The Kemi Chruch is right in the city and perhaps the most photographed church around the area. But in Kemi there is also another unique church. It is Veitsiluoto Church which has Cross of St. Peter on the top of it. It is for the memory of St. Peter. The Veitsiluoto Church locates 9 km to the south from the city center. You need a car or a bus drive to get there. The village is small and doesn't attract, hold or accommodate tourists. Neither does the church. But if you are on a holiday by a car or motor home, try to find it at google as "Veitsiluodon kirkko" and pop around to take a look! It is just 2 km far away from the motor way.
