TubeSrcaftNo4

I just finished my own design TubeScarfNo4. I used the one and only 50g ball of very old French yarn (88% acrylic, 12% wool) (50g = 90m). I inherit it from My GrandMother on 2010. The scarf match perfect to MyNewBoots Santa brought for Me on 2018 and TheMittens I bought forMySelf last summer from Svalbard.

And yes, there is fur around MyHood and on the hat. It is 100% ethic fur. Home made from self hunted wild fox in Lapland wilderness. When you live arctic, you need real stuff to warm you up. This pic was taken on -18 Celsius degrees; which actually is not cold at all for us. Faux fur gets frozen; even to your skin. If you are against industrial fur (I am) and have no change for wild fur, just use wool when visiting arctic. Faux fur is dangerous by your skin (causes frost bites) if you plan to outdoor in challenging weather but it also is a bit difficult environmental issue because you need oil to produce it. 

PS. It indeed is fox despite it is not red. We use all the parts of the animal. This lighter shade is from the stomach side.

BubbleCowl

Do you remember BubbleSocks, BubbleMittens and BubbleHat? I used Sublime's lusturous extrafine merino dk yarn (67% extra fine merino wool and 33% of nylon) (25g = 95m) in shades 332 Laurelie (grey), 335 Peridot (green), 291 Hush (very light pink) and 294 Folie (pink).

Now BubbleSet has got the final part: BubbleCowl!

Triple Structure Collar

I designed and knit one more collar. This time I started with neck part. In it used single cables.

But this project had very unfortunate destiny. I had already discoursed with Nuka about my yarns and craft projects.

She knows when they smell like me they really are mine and she has no right to touch them. But now I had just started new ball of yarn about which we had not talked about yet. She had taken it meanwhile I was outside doing some snow removal duties despite I had just arrived home and didn't came in to take her out. She didn't understand I need to shovel  a bit to get in... Well, it took 20 minutes.

So she had taken my brand new yarn ball and mixed it all up. I know it seems like Cat did it but it was Dog because it has her fur in it all over! But in honor of her I need to tell only 18 stitches had ravel out. Immediately she had noticed "oops, this is fastened to mom's craft" she had let it be.

It took almost two hours of me to get it all sorted out again. I am happy it had no slobber at all and no any damages to the yarn. just totally mess.

So, at the end I was able to finish it. The back side has crocheted flap to make it to be thicker and warmer for neck & shoulder area.

The front flap is knitted. It is a bit thinner and settles better under other clothes on a cold winter day.

I don't know which yarn I used because I found it in my storage and the banderol was missing.

TubeScarfNo3

I made one more tube scarf. It is my own design. I used the same idea as I did in TubeScarfNo1 and BlanketNo1.

Very easy design and simple to make by anyone who knows the basics of crocheting.

 I have here the idea of 30 stitches...

...which exactly means you need to start 1st row with 30 + 1 chain stitches. This 1 extra is for turn up.

Fasten the 1st single stitch to the 4th chain stitch from the hook. Then stitch 3 chain stitches and 1 single stitch fastened to every 3rd chain stitch of the 1st row. It begins to form out the web now.

It goes on after the second row with the idea 3 chain stitches and 1 single stitch to fasten it all to next loop. Except at turn ups you need 4 chain stitches.

Very beautiful shade of old and broken rose. Excellent way to wish happy birthday to someone special with box of chocolate.

I used Novita Rose (70% acryl & 30% wool, 50g = 190m) yarn. Soft & warm. Thin but fluffy.

CableCollar

One more ChristmasSecret is finished. I used (again) Novita's7 veljestä yarn  (75% wool, 25% polyamide) (150g = 300m). I used the shades of brown and white.

It is going to be something warm for my LoveOne.

Something through which He can put His Head.

I used white crocheting and single cables to decorate it. It is a collar. Do you remember I knit one over two years ago?

Mittens&TinyTubeScarf

Here is again some recycled buttons. This time I needed six of them. I collect old buttons. So does my mother-in-law. Sometimes we end up to each others collection. These are from her treasure box.

I knitted a tiny tube scarf to protect neck area from freezing arctic weather. It needs buttons. That's the only way to make it stay tight and not be stretched when pulling it in an out.

The buttons hide behind the neck.

But I knit also mittens to be used with it. 

Both TinyTubeScarf and Mittens have HorseShoeCable knitting to decorate them. Both are my own design. I used Novita Lehto yarn (48% acryl, 32% polyamide, 10% wool, 10% mohair) (100g = 136m).

RastaTubeScarf

When YoungLady was LittleLady she wanted to buy Novita Rasta yarn (85% acryl, 9%polyamide, 6% polyester) (100g = 19m). She wished me to knit woollen socks of it to her. What a fluffy idea but NO WAY! So we agreed she can buy that yarn and later on she'll figure out what else I could knit of it for Her. That later never happened. She still wanted her fluffy woollen socks. This yarn just is useless for woollen socks. No matter how hard I try to explane... So, it was time to call TaijaDesingStudio... to do my own design.

I decided to make a scarf of it because I had only two 100g balls of it and the rest was sold out.

But 200g was just enough!

Next Christmas we'll see (and hear) Her opinion about it. :)

TubeScarfNo2

Here it is; TubeScarfNo2. My own design especially for MissL. It is a simple styled tube scarf like TubeScarfNo1 I made earlier. They differ from each other by the yarn and edge. 

For this scarf I used Novita Rose (70% acryl & 30% wool, 50g = 190m).

The yarn is fluffy, soft and light. 

There is many ways to use this scarf.

There is a bit of romantic style for a young, blond & beautiful Swedish girl.

TubeScarfNo1

Yes I know, I know. It is still HotHotSummer. But I finished my TubeScarfNo1 on our long long drive to Helsinki. I used the same easy crocheting like I used in BoleroNo1 and BlanketNo1. They all have been made by the same Novita teddy yarn and they all are my own design.

You just crochet like I showed at making BlanketNo1. When it is long enough you fasten the ends together so that it forms out a circle. You can use TubeScarfNo1 in this way...

...or in this way. You can make it to be longer or shorther. As you wish, as many rounds around as desired. It is all up to you.

Knitted collar

Some time ago I knit a collar for myself. It's rare I do something for myself. I think that's the problem of all craft makers. They always do something for the others. I never found the picture I took months ago but I made some new ones

I designed this collar to be knit from Wetterhoff's Sivilla yarn. It consists of 30% silk and 70% wool, it includes Aloe vera, Jojoba oil and vitamin E. It is for my own use. I need it at wintertime when riding. Scarf is a bit dangerous and difficult with horses. Wearing face cover winter mask is a bit tricky if you have glasses and it's not -20 Celcius degrees yet. Warmer weathers make your glasses steamed and that's not fun. :) The collar has front and back cover to protect the chest and upper back area. It has buttonts by the neck area and the collar itself is like folded turtleneck from polo shirts. I decorated the collar with some crochet.
