DearFoalCard

I made something very special for YoungLady's birthday. It is something very easy but important. I framed 2 pics of her with TheCat from her high school graduation day.

I included card and sweets. I made one more birthday card for YoungLady by using Le Suh's Anna's Art horse themed 3D book. Earlier I've made her SeaSideCard and DressageCard. The foal matches today's  theme because this is the first time she's having her birthday and not living at home anymore.

GrapeVine

If you remember I planted Zilga in May 2021. We did it all well. Then happened The Life. It was December right after Christmas 2021 when I just suddenly heard a bang in my head! I had forgotten to cover Zilga, blueberry shrubs and blackberry in my green house! Ouch! I realized it was too late because we had already have fortnight colder than -22 Celsius degrees.

Since then we've been very worried and curious about the possible survival and life in my arctic greenhouse. I visited the greenhouse on 19.6.2022 and still nothing. Then I visited it again on 23.6.2022 and had a wonderful surprise as a thank you gift for my patience just wait and water them all abit every now and then instead of just digging it all up. Blackberry and blueberries are alive too. It really was a hard winter to them but they managed to keep the roots alive despite all the branches got frozen.

Again my arctic garden has proved that when we just do our best to secure and preserve and then just give time, usually the life finds its way to survive and grow up to become stronger.💖

Chips

Glass chips bring luck they say. What if the chips are not yours? Is it still the same? On 2012-2013 I inherit my grandmother's glasses. On 2022 I had a course about class work. But until now I really never had time to go into granny's glasses. Past few days -when ever a spare moment- I've had chips in my hands... and small cuts here and there...

What is the most interesting issue is the fact that last autumn I crashed at a treasure in a second hand shop. I definitely was seeking something else (wooden toys for another art project, didn't find) but literally trip over two boxes of glass.

When I noticed what caused my accident I was stunned. Wow! Obviously they were from someone's house who was old and passed away, not worked with them for a long time. My curiosity started to wake up, what might be the price.

I asked chary what is the price of one piece. They said they sell it all together. I gulped and calculated in my mind the possible price they are going to ask. After a moment I asked if The Machine was included. They said someone else had already bought the machine which they agreed to sell separate. I danced wild beats secretly in my heart. I already have The Machine because of my heritage! I gathered all my courage and said "What a shame." Then I continued and asked what they might ask from the whole pack of the glass as there's quite a huge pile of them. They said if I carry the boxes immediately out of their way I need to pay only 20€.  I said, I need to make a phone call then. In 10 minutes my husband was there to pack it all into our car!

So, now I have been washing and drying and sorting chips from two different sources. I have something in my mind and for sure you will hear about it later on.

Cheerful Welcome

I've designed and woven a new welcome rug for our entrance. It is a bit summer style. On the other hand it matches with our colorful autumn, sparkles up our Polar Night Season and breathes the spirit of the spring until it will be the summer again!

The shades are totally different than I made almost 5 years ago. The green one is still doing great but I just wanted some new spirit for the entrance! I've just washed the green one and will use it in my garden.

It is a rag rug into which I've woven our linen and clothes of mine and kids! Let's save The Planet Earth!

I actually made it during the Weaving ABC online course where I teach people to learn to set up their own loom and work all the way to finished woven item. You can see Finnish introduction of the rug on my YouTube video I made for the students here.
