Oh My Chandelier

These bead cords are from the lantern which my dear friend B. made for me far too many years ago. Broken already but had no heart to throw them away. I designed the pendants and add some of her spirit and now I see her every day.

I use old small body butter jars to store the beads.

And no, I didn't throw away the wire my friend B. had used. I will use it later in Xmas or Easter decoration crafts... Yes, recycling again. Let's save our planet!

My chandelier is a gift from Him. Unfortunately many of its red glass pendants have accidently got broken during the Wild Knight Wars in the Castle and Hunting Adventures in Africa.

I removed all the old decorations. And yes, stored them gently in a secret place to avoid magpies to steal them.

I finished handful of new pendants...

...and hung them one by one -using the old wire rings- to my chandelier.

It all matches so well with my new blue lace curtains.

Heart Beat Beads

We did some beading today.

It is always so interesting to find out what is inside my boxes.

It was the time to do something with the beads I bought at Oulu Expo. I really need new decorations for my chandelier. I have been seeking ones at shop but have not fine any, not to mention ones I desire. So I designed some and made them.

I need three different kind of pendants for my chandelier.They come in three levels. This is the start of the upper one.

It is very easy to make some simple bead work.

Most difficult -in my opinion and life experience- is to make proper knots. There's far too many cases I have made very permanent knot only to notice an animal to escape... They never trust in my knots. For me it is easiest to find the right place for the knot in this way. I also use these "knot nests". They are like shells.When I close it up it keeps the knot inside and prevents it to open. In this way my bead work knots last. :)

Furry blanket

Today I worked a bit with BlanketNo2; which is my own design. It got green stripes at this time. And to be honest, the next shade is ready. It is going to be grey stripes next.

From this picture you can see both front and back sides.

This is how it looks now. Furry, soft and warm. It is going to be thick and heavy. But that is exactly something I am going to need.

Mother's Day

Of course today -the 2nd Sunday of May- started with cake...

...and stitching.

But today included also sorting out the rest of the ethical produced sheep wool...

 

...which smelled sooo good. But no, he was not allowed to touch, nor taste, neither take any kind of part to the action. But still, oh that smell...Poor "Little Polar Bear" needs to keep his tiny paws out of it all.

And yes, my woolly secret keeps going on well.

The nature knows my woolly secret needs some green.

The wet places look first like this before the frost melts away from the ground. Then it lets the moisture through, gets dried up and begins to grow grass. It is like having a swamp at first and then a prairie.

 

Recycling

As you already know I like recycling. Collecting useless stuff and surround yourself with unuseful materia is not so reasonable. But picking up useful "trash" from here and there is a good way to create something new.

Several weeks ago I was given beautiful flowers. The time fade the blossom but something stayed.

The butterfly is still useful. At the moment it decorates my veranda  without flowers.

And the base on which the flowers were set is still useful too. Perhaps something for the next Easter... or something about my woolly secret decoration. We know it after my inspiration.

The easiest way to avoid mess inside the house is to go outside to take away the flowers. :)
