Re-upholstering Massage Table -tutorial

Mery Christmas to Me! It supposed to be my Christmas gift but destiny made it to happen earlier so I had to go on the road again.

Of course it was old and used...

...little bit damaged here and there.

The head part was hard and made your face aching in the test massage session.

But the most important parts were in excellent fit. Nothing a proper wash could cure. All electric with all delicates. Just perfect for a tiny dwarf like me; easy to lift up and down.

For re-upholstering I needed some masculine power.

He just placed the new fabric on.

You need to pay a bit attention on re-upholstering. Start from the middle of each edge, fasten few staples to each of them and them few more again. Go like this little by little from each edge to the corners' direction. 2 to each edge before adding 2 more to each again etc. Do the corners last. In that way you can easily tighten the fabric proper and tidy.

One 90 degree corner. Pretty nice.

Another corner. Not bad either.

Here it is without the head part.

Facial part caused some troubles because we re-formed it. It was hard so it needed more softening. And it was too big and pressed your shoulders so we needed to make it smaller. But then we were at the point it needed also different size fabric than the original one. It was difficult to make the pattern for it because it was thicker but smaller. On the 3rd try-out it was "acceptable" and He could fasten it. The same rules work here. Little by little; from the middle to the corners, working with all the edges at the same time...

The head part's corners are not so pretty but that is just fine because the most important part (the facial hole) feels perfect now when you lay on it and enjoy about the massage.

By buying old massage table and re-upholstering it I saved over 1000€.

It all was worth of it...

...despite it was a bit hard to listen that horrible masculine machine working on!
