Stamping for Letters

I've had some relaxing moments creating new writing paper for MyLetters. Here are few samples. The red one is created on an ordinary copy paper and the brown one on a real old writing paper from 50's. I do love MyStampCollection and I do enjoy using them.

OOW SingleCable Socks

MyHouse is such a sock factory. Knitting socks for our love ones is such a traditional way of Finns to show their love & care.

This time I used our special OOW yarn (25% of arctic dog wool and 75% Finnsheep wool). It is very ethic and environmental friendly. It neither has any chemicals or dyeing so it is very gentle for your skin.

To decorate these socks I used SingleCables. It is a very simple and easy way to create some effect in one shade yarn. It is my own design.

Kivalo

Finally I had time to sort out some pics for from a day trip to Kivalo which we made on August 2018. This time we did The Keski-Penikka Observation Tower Trail. It is short but challenging and definitely not suitable for persons who have difficulties in walking.

The trail is challenging because of the nature elements.

It do is marked through the varying nature.

You just need to seek the signs.

The signs lead you on and up.

It is challenging because of Boulder Fields.

In Finnish we call them Pirunpelto which literally means Devil's Field. That explains how difficult they are to across. Especially if it is wet, windy, dark and you don't have proper shoes.

Where ever you are hiking you should remember the basic rules!

Up there is Kivalo Open Wilderness Hut. Remember respect the rules and bring enough water with you.

The Hut is proper enough to stay even over a winter night as long as you have brought your winter sleeping bag with you. Notice that you can't book these huts or reserve it for yourself. All the hikers are welcomed to stay in and seek shelter at any time.

There is a former fire guard's tower which has been renovated to be an observation tower.

It has quite narrow stairs so you should leave your bag down to fit trough.

The tower offers excellent views around the wilderness area.

The wilderness is wide.

There actually is Martimoaapa Mire Reserve area around.

It is the highest place around our area so the thunder has quite wild games around there. Also other elements of arctic climate stress up the trees. The area is full of interesting looking trees and you can't stop thinking how they still can be alive.

GreatTit

Do you remember this? It is Gerda Muller's Ti-ti-ping la petite mésange. One of the most cherished children books I loved to read! I have it in MyLibrary. And this is our local library's clearance sale piece I bought by 0,20€.

And I made a beautiful card of it!

BlueBellSocks

I designed and knit just simply socks for a school kid. I used old Finnish woollen yarn which I inherit years ago. It's Pirta's Villanalle yarn (100% wool) (50g = 135m).

AuroraSocks

As planned I was BackToSchool again. I had two more days at school this week with very interesting lectures. And I learnt something that I didn't want to learn and it made Me in tears. Did you know that producing  one single kilo of chocolate takes over 17 000 liters of water!!!???? W H A T ! ! ! ? ? ?

💔

This time I knit woollen socks by using Novita 7 veljestä yarn (75% wool, 25% polyamide) (100g = 200m) and its shade is Aurora.

It's ok to let them both to look a bit different. The shade is very cute. Next lectures will be in October and we'll see do I have time to knit also then...

BlanketNo6

As I told you before I made a great bargain with this yarn. I already made BabyBlanketNo7 of it. It is Schachenmayr's  KidLight yarn (38% nylon, 32% polyacryl and 30% mohair) (100g = 600m).

MySecretProject is now finished. I used 3 balls which means just 300g of the yarn. That makes this blanket to feel very light but warm.

It is my own design but easy to do by anyone who knows the basics of crocheting. By using a simply one shade yarn it may feel a bit boring on the way to do your craft. I used on purpose just grey yarn and made this to be very simply one.

That idea makes it to fit perfect to any home decoration colors, forms and inspirations. Grey is a great background for everything else and brings together plus gives a perfect nest for other shades. It whispers ScandinavianStyleTouch from your home decoration despite you'd love to keep it more complicated.

Memories & Plans

You know I'm BackToSchool. MySchool is much about distant studies. Last time I knit SocksForMe. Now I bought some more easy-yarn to knit more socks during the lectures.

It is officially autumn now because it already is September.

Summer included getting ready for the next winter. You need this to make the flu to fade away.

All the berries started to ripen at the end of the summer and still keep going on. In MyGarden I have very faithful red currants and they never fail me, no matter what kind of the year or season has been. The oldest shrub is from the late 40's - early 50's!!!

I do have black currants too. This year we've planted 5 more shrubs to get even more extremely healthy berries.

Summer means also I need to send MyStudents for a summer vacation. They share beautiful flowers with Me before leaving.

When the flowers fade away I always save the tiny decorations included for the further use. They bring Me so much joy!

It was lovely to find these pics of the flowers and I share few of them with you. Next week I'll see MyStudents again! It's nice to go to the work when I know they'll be waiting. (Yes, I work and study at the same time now so I'll get a bit busy every now and then.)

VeryPink!

Some of the flowers are sill with Me!

Roses are always so pretty!
