This pair of woollen socks goes to my very private car mechanic.
For the blue stripes I used Novita's 7 brothers yarn (75% wool, 25% polyamide). The grey yarn is 100% wool with which I had to negotiatie a bit to get it all winded up. But luckily my mechanic is animal lover so few cat hair -if any can be found- won't do any harm.
These socks look similar to striped ones. Both are my own design but these are a bit warmer because of that 100% wool grey stripes. 100% yarn is not as lasting as woolmix with 25% polyamide. But look how I used the yarns. The heel is big and heel and toe parts are from the wool mix. Plus I knit thin stripes to make the structure more lasting.
