BlueBerries

You know I have a very useful -award winning- arctic kitchen garden. Add to this, we follow even more traditional life style: hunter-gatherer culture of Forest Sámi people. We have done so simply always.

This year the wilderness provides us excellent harvest of wild blueberries. (Yes, you see it right, the autumn has arrived and plants are shaking off their leaves.)

The main idea in the traditional hunter-gatherer culture is that you never take it all. You are never alone. You must treat the nature right and gentle. You must leave some for the other people. You must, more than that, leave something for the animals, spirits and gods. You don't take, you ask. (This is the main idea also in my kitchen gardening and has lead to great succeed and no need of fertilizers or pesticides. I leave always something for the birds but let's talk about that later in the future.)
