Happiness

Happiness is like
a summer flower.
You will find it
after the winter
always again.

My own design,
My own poem.

Sunshine

This saying courages you to "Give the sun the time to shine". It is my own design and stitched on pale yellow aida fabric with the theme of my dear yoga hobby. Also with this I used photo stitch method to help to create the finished design.

Dreams

This is my own first ever photo stitch design. I started to work with this already before I had a soft ware for it. It is about a dog who understands: "If I could have it all, I could not dream..."

Two Apples

"The apple never falls far from the tree" is an old saying and in Finnish it also means "Like father, like son". I designed and stitched this many years ago and still remember I had quite fun making it.

Unconditional Love

Unconditional love doesn't mean undiciplined kids. In love too there are always the rules that form out a safe fence around people who are in the circle of love.

My own photo stitch design.

Protect Me

This my own design reminds us how important it is to protect our love ones in the rain. No matter you'd be just fine on your own, it is important to feel you are not alone.

PaintedPorcleain

I have an honor to introduce you an artist who paints porcleain. Her name is Tarja Palosaari. She doesn't produce much but that's why the hand paintings she designs and does are even more valuable. I can't stop adoring this MooseTray which is fabuolous with the contrasts it creates.

I had troubles to give away this Tarja Palosaari designed & hand painted clock from MyHands. At the end I was able to do so only because it ended up on the wall of MyKitchen.

We have also another clock designed & hand painted by Tarja Palosaari. This one decorates MyLibrary.

BabyBlanketNo8

 I finished my own design BabyBlanketNo8. I used Schachenmayr's KidLight yarn for the blanket (38% nylon, 32% polyacryl and 30% mohair) (100g = 600m).

I used left over woollen yarn for the embroidery to attach the crochet flowers. I used also left over yarn to crochet the flowers. It is for a baby girl but blue flowers do just fine.

I knit the blanket and crocheted the edges. I used knitting machine for the knitting so it indeed was a fast thing to do, despite MyKnittingMachine works only with man power.

I made the pics at the same time with BlanketNo7 in -18 Celsius dergees when it was rising up a snow storm. This blue shade is typical for the arctic climate. The pics have no filter.

BlanketNo7

I have finished BlanketNo7. It is my own design and called ScandinavianSpring. It is not spring yet so I made these pics in -18 Celsius degrees when MotherNature was rising up a snow storm.

It has shades of green, grey and 4 different shades of white with a sligh blink of bling bling creating whispers of the ice and snow with the sun light. In ScandinavianSpring the weather can be quite grey when all the snow is turning out to the water. And we see a bit green here and there when the nature is waking up from its long sleep.

This is an adult size lap blanket. Designed especially when sitting on an armchair and making crafts during chilly cold winter nights and dreaming about the spring season. I have used  left over yarns to create memories like a proper quilt should have. I crocheted it by using the same method you do with GrannySquares.

It is not for Me. It is for SantaClausFactory...

Good Manners

This my own design has decorated MyKitchen for years. It reminds us all always to say Thank You. Every time it is not possible, sometimes you forget but it is a good guidline through our lives.
