Singing with Helga

 It was very interesting to start to make the very first prototype of Our Very Own Wool. One hour of crocheting on the early morning. I love those silent moments.

 I was singing Christmas songs with Helga today. Do you remember this beautiful blue ribbon? I finished HeartBunting by using it. After all I didn't use the felt stars because the bunting looked perfect in this way; according to my Scandinavian taste. (I am planning to use the felt stars in another way...)

I and Helga were singing songs and creating Yule for someone else.

TheCat wanted to play with me so these need to wait for finishing... On some other day I'll pick them up from MyVerandaTable where they wait for me.

Yeppee!!! It is finally here. B l a n k e t N o 2!!!!!!

All finished...

...and packed up to CatFreeZone.

This definately is not for cat; despite she disagrees.

Snuggling in it is so soft, warm and cosy in my WinterWornderLand.

BlanketNo2 weights 2kg.

It is my own design. It is a rya blanket. 

It has the stripes from MyWorld.

I used teetee's Stella yarn (100g = 30m)  for those colourful rya stripes.

(65% acryl, 20% wool, 15% polyester)

Novita's beige shade Nalle yarn (100g = 260m) I used for the plain stripes.

(75% wool, 25% polyamide)

It is so soft!

It is so beautiful, useful and so so mine!

Our Very Own Wool

Today -like every single day- we had moments in BunnyBarnWorld. Usually it is just feeding and cleaning.

But we all -L O V E- PamperMoments with grooming and snuggling.

Mr Rasputin was weighted today: 3,3kg

Well done!

I almost reached TheFinishedMoment, almost, not yet but almost... It has been a huge job with BlanketNo2...

But I finished all Stars. Now I just need to put them all together... Perhaps tomorrow...

Well... finally I can tell what came out from all of it...

Ta-dah! Here it finally is! Our Own Yarn! 25% of arctic dog wool and 75% Finnsheep wool. Each hair ethic produced! The dog breeds which are used are Norwegian Elkhound, East Siberian Laika and mix of Samoyed and Finnish Spitz. We used small Finnish spinnery Salo-Angora. This was not the 1st time using it so we have been satisfied also before with this family business.

In this picture you can see the natural white shade we chosen the yarn to be. No dyeing, no bleaching. Just light shades of dog wool and sheep wool and they were able to mix it all up together to create this.

Christmas Market at HM Hermanson

I am happy to tell, after a long long time, I am going to sell my products at market. This is going to be Christmat Market at HM Hermanson, Haparanda, Sweden. It will be at the end of November (29.-30.11.2014). Now I am going to put my Helga to sing:

Stars, hearts and arctic autumn

Today I have been working with my heart project. Yes, I know, these are stars but hearts need also stars. There are two kind of hearts I have made; felted ones and stitched ones. They all -and these stars- come to the same project. All my own design.

(Yes, our trees are much smaller than you are used to. 

They grow slow, extremely slow.)

The cord is twisted branch of birch.

His camp somewhere in the middle of nowhere.

Perfect fire place but really should not be done if not known for sure what to do. 

It is easy to burn up the whole forest.
