Feeling Xmas

More stitching despite it is -27 Celsius Degrees and I've been melting frozen water pipes in the house. No problem! If you can stitch; you can do anything!

Just tiny stitching...

...which -later on- will form out a bigger set...

Christmas Tags kit was a free gift with
CrossStitcher magazine issue 273 year 2013.
Designed by Fiona Crouch.

Castle Scent Bag (free chart)

Happy New Year to everybody. Here is one more free chart for your own use. It is my own design. I stitched a cute little scent bag of it but it can be a card too... or something else. Perhaps a pen case for a princess...

Strawberry NeedleBook

So I decided to make -instead of a card- a needle case from that Strawberry cross stitch kit.

The needle book can Hold&Hide many needles.

The pages can be turned.

I used cute apple button...

...and a cord that can be twined around the button to close the book.

I used lace for decoration and green felt to match with strawberry theme.

NeedleBook design is my own but Strawberry design is from CrossStitcher magazine issue 110 June 2001.

Strawberries in January

After a while I picked up a mini cross stitch kit and stitched this cute little strawberry design. Time ago I bought it at second hand shop. It is a free cross stitch card kit that has been with CrossStitcher magazine issue 110 June 2001. I don't have the magazine and with the pack they don't tell who is the designer. But the card is illustrated by Adam Abel.

Very summer feeling stitching in -18 Celcius degrees weather outside. Well, I am stitching inside so it doesn't matter. :)

It is amazing how little stuff these mini kits include. And still there is enough; even to be left over.

Here it begins. These pics show well my style to stitch.

I always finish each shade before moving on to next shade. Meaning no matter how huge the work is. I go on shade by shade.

Cross stitch create the base for the work...

...but without back stitches it seems so faded and blur.

ForMe

I just finished woollen socks which I knit for Me&MySelf. I used Novita's 7 veljestä yarn (75% wool, 25% polyamide) (150g = 300m). I decorated them by Single Cables.

They are VeryLongSocks! I adore long woollen socks. I love them. Long woollen sock would be one of the last clothes I would give up!

Also these are my own design. They have pretty cables also at back. Here you can see it better. It reaches all the way from heel up to knee.
