Stitched Cloudberry

Oh, how sweet it looks! It is my own design Cloudberry and there's free chart available. I am very satisfied with this design. Especially the shades of the berries are as correct as they can ever be.

Eating bone

Nuka has had fun indeed and I finally made a video of it for you. She is such a smart dog. She learnt this all by HerSelf! Very scary what all She can think and discover!

(And yes, the video was taken on the 16th and 17th of March. And yes, we still have that much of snow. But can you see, it is sunny and even the birds are singing. It s spring time. Yeppee!!!)

BookBag No7

 I have made more BookBags. I used old fabric My mother-in-law found in her house. (What all we have and we don't even know it?!) I decorated it by golden ribbon I bought from Tallinn, Estonia. I think it all looks a bit like spiced with GipsySpirit.

The rose fabric was pretty thin so I decided these BookBags need a lining. I chose blue and I think it looks precious inside!

I made three of them!

ChessCase

 

Over 25 years ago I was for 1st time in MyLife in Greece. I got a certain amount of money to be used for MyOwnShopping during the whole holiday. I didn't find anything else interesting that I really wanted except this chess board.

Many souvenir shops sold them made of plastic or wood with Made In China label. But I wanted something real.

Because I had not much money I could afford a small one in a cheap pack. So I ended up to choose this one. I have not regret despite the time has ran over the pack more than once.

We have used the game a lot so the pack has faced several damages despite we have been taking good care of it.

I made a base for the chess board. Very easy and practical. And if it gets damaged it is easy to change again.

But the game needed something to cover it because the package had got broken and the base of the cover broken long time ago so I need to use the lid as a base cover. So I designed and sew a case for it.

I used felt for the lining, velcro to close it and decorated it by the same ribbon I used in BookBag No5.

Thimble Cottage Needlebook

This Thimble Cottage Needlecase was something I really needed for MySelf. So I became very happy when I found out what a friend gave me as a gift. For ages I had planned to make a needle book for Me&MySelf. It is a free gift from Cross Stitcher magazine. I don't know which issue. I used sewing machine to finish the needle book and instead of stitching a heart on the roof I used pretty flower button. I neither made any fastening / closing up system because I keep it flat inside My folder where I have My unfinished stitching.

Beautiful butterflies

This beautiful butterfly design is a free gift of The World of Cross Stitching Magazine. I don't know which issue because a friend gave this to me. The beads were not included. I added them to personalize this design. It came with a card but I am going to make something else of this.

BookBag No6

Do you remember my own design Birch - Koivu - Betula (free chart)? I have stitched it and I just love DMC Variegated shades because they help you to create a personalized look on the same public design.

But what I made of it all? I made a beautiful BookBag No6. It looks very bright and spring style.

MistelMouse

So far this cute little MistelMouse is the last bag for MyAdventCalendar. Now I need to wait to get more beautiful stitched Christmas cards to be used in this project.

RedEarthHouse

One more bag for MyAdventCendar made of a stitched card. Did you know red houses are typical to Finland and Sweden region? As well as are yellow, green and blue wooden houses too; which you can also see elsewhere all over  Scandinavia.

Robin

This Robin stitched on a beautiful Christmas card got a new life to decorate My "AdventCalendarToBe" during all the coming Christmas seasons in the future. I really love the idea to have all these stitched little pictures on MyAdventCalendar and in that way to have MyFriends near me by every Christmas season in the future!

One of My LongTermProjects is to make AdventCalendar for MySelf. I use stitched cards MyFrends have sent for Me. (That's why I have no idea of the designers or publishers.)

BeautyAndBeads

Well well well, YoungLady had another dramatic moment. One of Her favorite jumpers had turn out so awful looking that wearing it absolutely is out of the question. It was beautiful beige jumper with huge white snow flake stitched at front. These beautiful acrylic beads decorated the snow flake so I rescued them from the extermination. I have put them in MyBeadBox and someday they will face a new life.
