CardWeaving

I had an interesting gift. It is a weaving kit. Card weaving kit. Believe me or not but despite studying full time 4½ years of cloth and textile designing I never heard about this kind of weaving. This is JukoDesigns.

I didn't know what to expect.

I was quite surprised when I saw inside.

It included it all; also very easy & pictured instructions.

So I weaved it all like advised. It was very easy but extremely interesting.

When I was at top part I got quite excited... and worried.

I needed to loose the fabric from the card. Loosing rugs from MyLoom has never felt this worrying! I guess it is what you are used to! Here I didn't need to cut anything.

Then I just had to pull it off...

...and secure the ends.

I found the inside more neat so I turn it (extremely gently) upside down.

It is going to be a hand bag. I will sew also a lining for it. You will see the result some day. I love the shade and I have matching scarf and hat.

Today I found absolutely glorious GlutenFree IceCreamCone. On April 2018 I found one from Lidl but this is even more excellent. It is Swedish GB's product (no, I still don't get any fees for advertising or other benefits, I just want to share this with you because I know how hard these special diets can be). Unfortunately I didn't find English website but you can at least see the logos and seek them at your local shop.

Snail & LadyBird

This is a little detail of my first ever bigger cross stitch design. I made this Snail & LadyBird for a card by using the original chart. No, you have not seen it yet despite it is over 20 years old. Why? Because it still waits " a sister" with it and just few weeks ago I finally -after all these years- had an idea about it what kind of that sister should be....

My own design Rose keyring is stitched on PerforatedPaper like yellow version of it. Also this one I placed in Framecraft keyring frame and used cross stitches and back stitces for it.
