Prague

One of MyLongTermDreams has been to go to Prague and see its ChristmasMarket. This year it came true. I just didn't realize Prague is so crowded. But to us who come from North and are used to PolarNights have another change to experience Prague without crowds. For example CharlesBridge was filled with far too many people at day time. I got the best ChristmasGift this year when He took Me there at 6-8 am early Sunday morning. It was -in practical- all ours and we saw even the sun rise there. But it was not dark before the dawn either. Prague is a huge city with light pollution. All the pics you see in this post below are taken by free hand camera without a stand nor filter.

After sun set and before the dawn.

 Before the dawn.

 At foggy day time.

By the dawn and after sun set.

PS. To experience 100% gluten free Prague go to AlrisoRestaurant by the Betlehem Square & Chapel in OldTown.

JewelleryBags

These two jewellery bags I designed for BerryLeaves and SilverLeaves. I used felt, ribbons and charms to make them. Ribbons and charms are from Tallinn where I was sopping at fabulous Karnaluks for craft stuff.

BerryLeaves

I used the leaves of BlackCurrants and BlackBerries from MyGarden to design and make this set of BerryLeaves. I made this at the same time with SilverLeaves and used the same method as I did with MySilverCones. Paste type art clay silver is very practical material to create beautiful things from natural elements!

SilverLeaves

I designed and made a set of SilverLeaves. I used art clay silver (paste type). I used the same method as I did with MySilverCones. These are actually tiny leaves of MyGardenRoses which I collected last summer when I started this project and painted by art clay silver.

Tree&Roots

This is my own design. It is one from the sayings collection. It says: The Tree is Nothing Without The Roots - Roots are Nothing Without The Tree. This is MyFirst ever project with special DMC threads. It was very difficult but I learnt a lot when stitching it.

AfterTheNight...

This is my own design AfterTheNight... after the night is morning and it's different on the morning. In this design I wanted to create the hope a new dawn brings. If there is no dawn the light can be seen during the polar nights in many different ways. We always have the moon to shine our way; or Northern Lights.

(For this project I used 16 count black Aida and 4 shades of DMC thread for the stitching plus 5th shade for the text.)

BeFaithfulFriend

During the years I have designed a collection of sayings and stitched them to be true. I used photo stitch method to create this beautiful project BeFaithfulFriend. He is the very first dog of MyOwn. I learnt so much with Him & His Brains & Attitude. He was extremely strong minded and had more "sisu" in Him than you can meet in a person.

XmasTreeDecorations

These four decorations are stitched using free hand method. I designed them at the same time when stitching. I used Framecrafts ready-to-stitch frames. I stitched them on plastic canvas and used Madeira Metallic thread (No 10) and beads for the decoration.

ArcticFox

This LovelyLittleArcticFox is designed by me. It is stitched on Royal Blue 14 count Aida. I used some back stitches and metallic threads for the details.

YuleNight

This is my own design of frosty YuleNight. I really enjoyed stitching it on RoyalBlue 14 count Aida and noticed it works pretty well. There are few back stitches for some details. I made this using a picture of dearest MrW when He was VeryYoung and VeryLittle.

Stars!

Christmas is coming. But in a month it will be over. After Xmas they sell XmasCraftItems on sale. Save a bit money there to create Xmas 2019 craft.

I designed and used old recycled buttons and different shades left over seed beads from stitching projects to decorate MyStars on 2014.

I used free hand embroidery which means I didn't mark the places for the beads. I just stitched them on. I just count one in the corners and 3 between.

They turn out pretty well.

Of course I did also blue ones!

NewTapestryProject

This is the last tapestry project that is left of the ones I inherit. I used BrokenCanvas for a sewing project. I finished Birds Collection. I also finished WinterScene and SummerScene. This project is not started at all. It was also a bit dirty so I had to wash it out before starting. That's why the paint is faded. I have no idea which shade was meant for which bigger tapestry project I've been stitching because it all has been messed up. Now there's a pile of threads left. We'll see how this will turn out....

SummerScene

I finished WinterScene earlier this month. Now I finished SummerScene. See how I had to use a bit imagination with the background because of the fact there was no enough any matching shade. Instead of using sky blue up and grass green down I decided to use grass green up and soil brown down. That creates an impression of it that you look the scene through the scene.

It is a bit confusing because they definitely are from the same designer / manufacturer. It says "sommer" and "winter". It is confusing because it gives a hint about Swedish, Danish or Norwegian origin, but "winter" is actually "vinter" in those languages. (In Finnish summer is "kesä" and winter is "talvi".)

HeartBunting

You've seen Heart hanging -tutorial, Stitched Hearts, Decorated Hearts and XHeartS. You can notice this is an old project I designed and made on 2014. But some of the pics were put on MyFinnishBlog which I've been taking down. So I need to move everything worth of showing here; to be seen at Ommel. That's why I collected together the posts linked above.

I made two different style of hearts. The ones with felt decoration and the others with embroidery. Then I needed some ribbon to sew them all together.

I used old wooden & recycled curtain hangers (I removed the metallic parts) to hang the bunting.

I like it in dark...

...and I like it in light.
